Origin Story
Emergency Technology Consulting was born out of the desire to provide the best possible Emergency Technology solutions to communities based on your specific needs. Years of experience allows us to help organizations navigate the procurement process, address funding challenges, conduct strategic planning, develop a governance structure, write requests for proposals, facilitate negotiations, guide leaders through vendor partner selections, contract management, system engineering, Next Generation 911/112/999, GIS strategies, and overall system implementation.
Background and experience
Our efforts are driven by our passion to serve communities. We have over 60 years of history of serving in emergency communications, weather in the Military or in direct support roles in traditional emergency service capacities. Additionally, we have an overarching desire to save lives.

Budge Currier has over 30 years’ experience in emergency communications technology design, engineering, and strategic planning. Budge was responsible for the statewide public safety communication systems in California with over 450 PSAPs, 26 million 911 calls, and radio communications for over 200,000 first responders. Budge is considered an industry expert and can align needs with available resources, regulations, and local capabilities to develop solutions that save lives.
